个人简介
Dr. Lee joined the faculty in August 2008. Before joining Iowa State, he worked at the Genome Center, University of California-Davis as a staff scientist, and at the Department of Chemistry, Indiana University as a post-doctoral fellow with Prof. David E. Clemmer. He received his PhD from Seoul National Univeristy in 1997 with Prof. Myung Soo Kim, and worked for LG Semicon and Hyndai Electronics before coming to United States. His mass spectrometry expertise covers wide disciplines including fundamentals, instrumentation, proteomics, and ion mobility. His current research interest include MALDI-based high-spatial resolution mass spectrometry imaging, mass spectrometry analysis of biomass pyrolysis, and use of nanoparticle matrices for forensic and microbiome analysis.
研究领域
Biological Mass Spectrometry
Lee group is working on biological and engineering application of mass spectrometry. The two major research themes have been Mass Spectrometry Imaging of Plant Metabolites and High-resolution Bio-oil analysis. Recently, we expanded our research interests to forensic applications, particularly MALDI imaging of Latent Fingerprints, and High-throughput Metabolite Analysis from microbiome or drug-resistant bacteria.
