Our group is interested in the ultrafast structural dynamics of conducting polymeric systems. We will utilize two-dimensional infrared (2D-IR) spectroscopy to watch the time-evolution of polymeric structures on the time scale of individual charge hopping events (femtoseconds to picoseconds). Students in our group will have the opportunity to learn many facets of linear and nonlinear spectroscopy, electrochemistry, and materials characterization.
