个人简介

Dr Haixue Yan received his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He joined Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) in 2001. He is a Reader in Material Science and Engineering at QMUL. His research area includes: processing and analysis of the microstructures and properties of advanced materials with textured, nano- and metastable structures, covering dielectrics, ferroelectrics, thermoelectrics, ceramic-CNT composites and metals. His research has being funded by EPSRC, AHRC, Royal Society, Royal Academy of Engineering and industry. He has published >230 peer reviewed papers with an H index of 56 and has 9 patents. He is an Editorial Board Member of Materials Research Bulletin, Advances in Applied Ceramics, Scientific Reports and Journal of Advanced Ceramics.

Dr Haixue Yan’s research includes Spark Plasma Sintering (SPS) and functional materials with textured, nano- and metastable structures. I propose to undertake fundamental research on these novel functional materials and their sintering kinetics. His current research projects including: Dielectrics for high power energy storage Lead-free ferroelectrics for piezoelectric sensors and actuators. Ceramics with high microwave tunabiluty for wireless communications. THz technology probing transitions in functional materials Multiferroelectrics for computer memories. Recycle Al cans for fashion products and sustainable development.
