个人简介
中国科学技术大学等离子体物理专业教授，博士生导师。1991年获得中国科大郭沫若奖和1993年获得教育部霍英东基金；1994年获得德国洪堡基金；2020年当选为美国物理学会会士(APS Fellow).
1991 中国科技大学近代物理系（日本东北大学联合培养） 理学博士；
1995-1996 德国基尔大学 洪堡基金 研究员；
1996-1997 加拿大在加拿大萨斯卡通大学 研究员；
1997-2000 美国橡树林国家实验室 博士后研究员；
2000-2018 美国加利福尼亚大学洛杉矶分校物理天文系研究员；
2011-2018 中国科技大学 大师讲席教授。

研究领域
基于太赫兹激光先进测量技术的研发和等离子体物理研究；
利用太赫兹激光技术，发展高灵敏度、高可靠性的等离子体密度和磁场的精密测量，为未来磁约束聚变能反应堆安全和控制提供保障。
利用激光技术，研究空间和实验等离子体的非线形波动和磁重联过程。
