Synthesize and design novel colloidal systems for self and directed assembly under controlled excluded- volume, depletion, dipolar and active interactions and confinement Understand new physics emerged from these novel systems and further indentify and establish new strategies for controlling the spatial and temporal organization of soft materials in and out of equilibrium
