研究领域

在高压的极端条件下，随着体积被压缩，物质中原子、分子间的距离 将会逐渐减小，相互作用增强，导致相邻原子的电子及内层电子的轨道交叠，降低反应势垒，从而导致材料的结构相变。因此，高压是获得新型功能材料的重要手段，是物理、化学、地球科学等领域研究的焦点。本人运用第一性原理计算方法，研究典型凝聚态物质的高压结构相变，探索高压等极端条件下物质的新奇物理与化学性质，设计合成新型非常规高压多功能材料，揭示结构与宏观性质之间的内在联系。研究成果可以丰富材料的高压结构，拓宽人们对物质状态的理解，获得多种常压难以发现的新奇性质。
