研究方向（1）对土体工程性质的基础研究：孔径分布函数对土体工程性质作用的机理性研究；在不同工况，对土体工程参数选取的合理性研究；对部分特殊土体改良型研究。 （2）浅层边坡失稳的评估及治理：分析浅层边坡失稳的机理及其影响因素；针对非膨胀性土覆盖边坡提出相对防治措施；针对膨胀性土覆盖边坡提出相应防治措施。（3）冻土桩基的承载机理性研究：冻土的工程性质及其影响因素；冻土中桩基竖向承载机理及其影响因素；冻土中桩基水平承载机理及其影响因素。（4）挡土墙的设计：非饱和土体中的侧向土压力的计算；作用在挡土墙（包括刚性和柔性）上的侧向土压力计算；挡土墙的结构设计。
