Energy materials are an important part of addressing human energy shortages. Yao’s group research focuses on the development of light emitting materials and energy storage materials. We aim to synthesize high photoluminescent light emitting materials to fabricate high efficient LEDs and build up effective structures in advanced energy storage systems to enhance their stability and rate performance, which is promising to address global issue of fossil-fuel energy resources gradual depletion. 1. Synthesis of highly photoluminescent metal halide nanomaterials for LEDs 2. Structural and interfacial design for lithium battery electrodes and separators 3. Bio-inspired design of separators and solid electrolytes. in advanced energy storage system.
