个人简介

As an individual who is fascinated by Science, I obtained my first qualification in Science Laboratory Technology (Diploma, with Distinction) from the prestigious Yaba College of Technology, Lagos Nigeria. After 2 years of teaching at Secondary school and pre-university level, I obtained my first degree in Medicine and surgery from Nigeria’s Premier University (University of Ibadan) in 2008. I worked as a General Physician for 2 years in many private hospitals in Lagos and Ibadan, Nigeria before moving to Australia in October 2010. Since my arrival at the University of New England Armidale, I have completed a Higher Degree Research (MSc) in Respiratory Physiology and I have been involved with teaching (delivery of lectures, conducting tutorials, practical classes, and clinical skill sessions) in the Bachelor of Medicine Program, Bachelor of Nursing Practice Program and Biomedical Science program on casual and fixed term basis.

My particular research interests are in understanding the neurobiology of Depression and the use of neuroimaging in the investigation and treatment of mental health disorders.
