个人简介

Allan Forde is a Physician Assistant (PA) educator from the United States and came to JCU in May of 2008. His primary responsibility is to help to develop, launch and maintain a PA program within the School of Medicine & Dentistry (SMD). Al serves as an advocate for the developing PA workforce model in Australia and a liaison to state and Commonwealth governments, tertiary education institutions, healthcare organisations and medical colleges. His past clinical career in the US includes general practice and emergency medicine, largely with underserved populations. His previous academic appointment was with the University of Utah School of Medicine, Department of Family and Preventive Medicine, Physician Assistant Program (UPAP) where he was the Clinical Director for more than eight years. The UPAP mission is “to increase access to healthcare, especially to those living in medically underserved and rural communities through the training and service of highly skilled physician assistants committed to the health and wellbeing of their community”.
