个人简介
Dr. Dissabandara completed his medical degree (MBBS) at the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka in 1998. After completing his internship and the clinical training,he joined the home university as a Lecturer in Anatomy, where he also completed a Research Masters Degree (MPhil). Dissa joined Griffith Medical School in 2007. In 2012 he completed his PhD studies at the University of Queensland, researching the epidemiology, genetics and personality traits associated with heroin dependence. Dissa is extremely passionate about teaching and learning. At present his main research focus is on medical anatomy education. His teaching at Griffith University has been recognized by being consistently awarded multiple Griffith Medical School Teaching Awards and Health Group Citation for Excellence in Teaching in 2014 and Griffith University Excellence in teaching Award in 2015.
