个人简介

I hold a PhD from Swinburne University (Melbourne) researching inhibitors for glutathione-S-transfer ases as effective adjuncts to chemotherapy. I have gained experience in the area of insect cell culture/Baculovirus technology. On relocation to Queensland, I held a teaching position at the University of Queensland before joining Bond University in 2007. My current collaborations with Deakin and Griffith Universities have produced three publications so far in 2014. I am also a member of the Bond Urology Group, working on anti-adhesive agents for treatment of chronic urinary infections. I co-founded the Chemistry Research and Interest Group (CRaIG) in 2014, along with Prof. Tony Badrick and Dr Stephanie Schweiker. The goal of this group is to enhance & facilitate chemistry research at Bond. Future trajectory includes expansion of Bond's analytical chemistry capabilities in the area of analysis of biological samples for supplements and their metabolites as well as key components as potential markers for disease.

Analytical Chemistry Medicinal and Biomolecular Chemistry Theoretical and Computational Chemistry

My research area of interest has focused on the use of computationally-based strategies for drug design to gain a deeper understanding of the factors influencing protein-ligand interactions and the broader structure/activity relationship. I am passionate about developing chemotherapeutic agents for cancer and anti-adhesives for fighting bacterial infections.
