Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids in the Australian diet (references 5, 8, 13 and 14 ) and validation of food frequency questionnaire to measure polyunsaturated fat intake (reference 6) Relationship of omega-3 to health and disease including cardiovascular disease, depression (reference 1, 9), post-natal depression (reference 4), complicated pregnancies such as pre-eclampsia (reference 3) and cognitive function and mental health (reference 2) Specific foods (eg soy foods), nutrients in foods/supplements (eg omega-3) and their ability to reduce cardiovascular risk factors in human randomised controlled trials (reference 7) Dyslipidaemia, in particular intermediate density lipoprotein (IDL), the IDL subpopulations, and their relationship to the risk of developing atherosclerosis (reference 10)
