Broadly speaking, my group’s work is centred on producing materials and molecules wherein the principles of supramolecular chemistry and crystal engineering are used to ‘design-in’ useful functionality. This approach utilises both organic and inorganic chemistry, encompassing molecular recognition, host-guest chemistry, sensing, catalysis and biomedical nanotechnology, with a view toward the production of catalysts, sensors, or agents of medicinal value
