个人简介

David Preswick graduated with BPharm in 1980. His career has been principally as a community pharmacist having managed pharmacies and owning three pharmacies over the past 25 years. David was in the original trials of Home Medicines Reviews and has been accredited for some years. He has successfully completed a variety of units of study within the Commerce faculty of UNSW. He spent 5 years as a committee member on the PSA Drug and Alcohol Advisory Board and was involved in the training of pharmacists in opioid replacement services. David has had a keen interest in IT and has developed software applications for within his pharmacies and others commercially sold. A keen interest in service provision within pharmacy he has developed software enabling pharmacists to easily provide various services to their clientele. David has been a keen supporter of the Pharmacy Guild having been a Zone Leader for many years with strong involvement in the various political campaigns over the years. For two years he acted as media contact for the Pharmacy Guild in NSW. At a local level David was President of Brighton le Sands Chamber of Commerce for 7 years and still has a place on the executive. Having exited retail pharmacy in 2011, David has leveraged his experience in the area of aircraft medical kits winning contracts with key airlines, airline kit suppliers and suppliers to the military. His company has advised other kit suppliers and airlines on successfully integrating kits and their data to reduce cost burden using evidence based practice. He is active as a graduate marker with AHPRA and is currently serving as a tribunal member with HPCA (Health Professionals Councils Authority) and an auditor with the Pharmacy Council of NSW.
