钢冶金与资源循环研究所，由原炼钢教研室发展而来，团队学术带头为姜茂发教授。

协助指导硕士研究生7人，本科生6人。

主持国家自然科学基金青年基金项目1项，中国博士后科学基金项目1项，中央高校基本科研业务费项目1项，企业科技攻关项目2项。
教学奖励：
2018年，获辽宁省教学成果一等奖。
