Exercise and cardiovascular function, and in particular the role of acute and chronic exercise on blood volume expansion and vasodilatory capacity as well as vein compliance in normal healthy and normotensive individuals with family history of hypertension. The role of exercise in the prevention of hypertension is important to investigate as normotensive individuals with family history of hypertension already have limited vasodilatory capacity (high peripheral resistance) compared to normotensives without a family history of hypertension.
