个人简介
1982年元月毕业于华中农学院，同年到中国农业科学院棉花研究所工作。任副所长、棉花生物学国家重点实验室副主任、农业部棉花检测中心主任，中国农科院学术委员会委员、职称评审委员会专业组成员；河南省十二届人大代表；中国棉花学会常务副理事长兼秘书长，中国农学会植物遗传资源分会常务理事；《棉花学报》编委会主任，《中国农业科学》、《植物资源遗传学报》、Journal of Integrative Agriculture（JIA）等期刊编委；华中农业大学、河南科技学院兼职教授、研究生导师。曾任十届全国人大代表，安阳市第九、十届人大代表、十届人大常委；九三学社河南省委员会委员、安阳市委员会副主委。
