个人简介

Michael Greaney took his MChem degree at Oxford, then moved to London to carry out PhD work with William Motherwell FRS at UCL, completing his thesis in the area of new fluorinating agents in 2000. Following postdoctoral research with Jeffrey Winkler at the University of Pennsylvania, working on the total synthesis of ingenol, he returned to the UK to a lectureship position at the University of Edinburgh in 2002. He moved to his current position as Professor of Organic Chemistry at the University of Manchester in 2011.

研究领域

The Greaney group works in organic chemistry, developing new methods that enable faster, cleaner and better synthesis. Principal research themes are: 1) Metal-free arylation strategies; 2) Transition metal catalysed C-H activation and 3) Chemicobiological catalysis for new transformations in synthesis.
