在飞秒激光加工方面,模拟和实验相结合研究基于时域空域光场调控电子动态、表面等离子体波粒二象性及纳米加工等新型加工方法,并应用于材料冲击强化,新型材料表面功能结构加工,细胞加工转染,以及高温合金涡轮叶片高质量打孔等国家重大需求,探索电子动态调控对半导体电子-空穴液体相转变以及拓扑量子态转变等新材料新器件的调控机理,为新能源、IC、国防等领域的发展提供关键制造支撑。 在超快成像观测方面,研究利用脉冲序列、多频复合脉冲以及超连续谱脉冲等新方法,实现超快激光加工过程的高分辨连续观测,观测研究表面等离子激元-电子-激子之间的耦合与调控,揭示飞秒激光调控不同材料的机理与设计方法,从而实现对材料特性的主动调控,预测超快激光与材料相互作用的调控新原理、新机制。从而最终打开超快激光加工过程的黑匣子,阐明光子和材料相互作用的光物理、光化学过程,进一步解释加工机理,实现对加工过程的闭环调控,完善加工-检测的负反馈系统,指导超快激光调控加工方法的优化与设计。
