个人简介

陈世建 博士 “百人计划”特聘研究员;“巴渝学者”特聘教授 Dr. Shijian CHEN is tenure-track assistant professor (Hundred Talents Program at Chongqing University) in condensed matter and functional materials physics. His research areas are wide-band-gap semiconductor based materials and devices; novel energy materials and material design from the first-principles computational. His current research specifically focuses on novel photocatalyts and electrocatalysts for hydrogen production from splitting water and novel transparent conducting materials used for solar cell and touch screen. Before he joined Chongqing University, he was an Australian Postdoctoral Fellow (APD) at Monash University from 2008 to 2012, and an Alexander von Humboldt research fellow at University of Hannover from 2007-2008. He received PH.D at Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences at 2006, and was awarded 2006 Prize of President Scholars of CAS. He is the author of over 50 peer-reviewed articles with more than 1000 citations and has delivered over 10 invited talks at scientific conferences.
