Name: Andrew Cooper Modules: BDIC2007J ESAP Profile: I’ve been involvedwith English language teaching to adults for over 16 years, and have spentabout 12 years with Chinese students, working in various parts of China for 10years and a couple of years teaching Chinese graduates and undergraduates in UKuniversities. I was an IELTS examiner for 7 years with the British Council inChina, Thailand, Vietnam, Qatar and the UK. Other countries I’ve worked includeMongolia, Nepal, S. Korea, India, Japan, UAE, Bahrain, the Maldives, Spain and Bosnia. For the past 8years I’ve been mostly involved with EAP and ESAP and am continuing tospecialize in developing a more effective approach to teach academic writingand speaking, which is a specialism in my Masters. I am also Cambridge DELTAqualified. I’m interested inmeditation and have done 6 meditation retreats with Bhante Vimalaramsi inMalaysia – another qualification being I can sit for hours without moving.
