个人简介

I’m an assistant professor in philosophy at Peking University, specializing in moral psychology, philosophy of cognitive science, and normative ethics. My research revolves around the mental and moral foundations of human cooperation. I received my PhD from the University of Maryland. I have a master’s degree from the Humboldt University in Berlin where I studied philosophy and theology. My current research is focused on the normative significance of negative emotions, especially as these emotions relate to forgiveness and the rationality of grief. My other research project is entitled “Blameless Criticism”. The overall goal of the project is to specify adequate emotional responses to permissible, but morally suboptimal behavior.
