个人简介

Dr. Sandra Russo-Rodriguez is a Lecturer in Chemistry at Brown University. She has a B.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Puerto Rico in Rio Piedras and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. After Postdoctoral research at M.I.T., she worked as a scientist in industry for a number of years, including research at Polaroid and Amgen. She synthesized compounds to support discovery programs in Digital Imaging, Bioorganic Chemistry, Biotherapeutics, Pharmaceuticals, and Custom Synthesis. Her main research interest has been the organic synthesis of biologically relevant molecules and the application of synthetic methods to prepare sensitive compounds.

I currently teach Chem 0330T, and individualized program of study of Chem 330 or Equilibrium, Rate and Structure that focuses on problem solving, and Chem 0100, Introductory General Chemistry. I am the Instructor of Chem 100-web, an online Summer preparatory Chemistry course directed to incoming first-year students. Previously, I taught General Chemistry I with Laboratory.
