个人简介
王希教授1978年进入河北大学外文系英语专业学习，1982年获文学学士学位。1984-1986年就读于美国丹佛大学历史系美国史专业，获文学硕士学位。1986-1993年就读于美国哥伦比亚大学历史系美国史专业，于1988年、1993年分别获哲学硕士、哲学博士学位。1991年-1993年任美国罗切斯特大学弗雷德里克·道格拉斯非洲与非裔美国人研究所博士前研究员。1993-1994年任美国哈佛大学W·E·B·杜波伊斯非裔美国人研究所博士后研究员、非裔美国人研究系讲师。1994年起任教于美国宾夕法尼亚州印第安纳大学，先后任助教授、副教授、终身职教授、系主任。2005-2008年任北京大学历史系教育部长江学者讲座教授。2008年成为北京大学历史系特聘教授。现任美国宾夕法尼亚大学历史系教授、北京大学历史系特聘教授，北京大学美国研究中心授课教员、研究员，The Chinese Historical Review（《中国历史评论》）主编。
