研究领域

吴虹教授实验室关注抑癌基因PTEN的分子机制,PTEN基因在肿瘤细胞中的突变缺失频率仅次于p53。实验室联合应用分子遗传学、细胞生物学和生物化学等多学科技术方法,研究PTEN的信号路。通过细胞模型和转基因小鼠,吴虹实验室发现PTEN蛋白负调控干细胞的自身更新、增殖、存活,为干细胞与肿瘤发生的相关性提供了强有力的实验依据。吴虹实验室已经建立了多种人类肿瘤的小鼠模型,包括乳腺癌、前列腺癌等,这些小鼠模型为探讨人类肿瘤的发生机制及治疗药物的筛选提供了很好的平台。吴虹实验室近期着手研究胚胎干细胞的生长调控,它可促进神经系统疾病和癌症研究。
