遗传物质的传递及基因组稳定性的维持是所有生命体的两个核心生物事件。 它们影响到了几乎所有其它生物事件,因为其它生物事件或过程是围绕着这两个生物事件发展、进化而来。它们也与生物生长、衰老、疾病、癌症、神经衰退等直接相关。所以,阐明遗传物质传递及基因组稳定性维持的生化机制,既能帮助我们理解生命现象的分子基础,也能帮助我们认识衰老、疾病、癌症、神经衰退等发生机制。并在此基础上,发展出疾病治疗药物、甚至找到减缓衰老的方法。DNA复制、DNA损伤修复、DNA复制叉稳定维持、细胞对这些事件的调控机制,这些生物事件直接关联到遗传物质传递及基因组稳定性维持。我们实验室的研究范围包括这些方面。具体研究领域:1)真核细胞DNA复制机制;2)细胞维持DNA复制叉稳定机制,包括checkpoint 及chromsfork control 的调控机制;3)真核细胞双链DNA断裂修复的机制;4)组蛋白修饰对DNA代谢的影响;5)染色体基本结构的形成机制; 6)癌症、衰老、神经衰退的机制及相关药物的开发。
