研究领域
衰老和与衰老相关的老年病的发生、发展具有极强的内在关联性。为了揭示潜在的内源机制,我们建立了果蝇衰老模型,并首次发现了具有高度序列保守性的单一微小RNA,miR-34,在成体脑组织中的重要功能。利用果蝇RNAi筛选平台和新一代测序技术,我们发现了介导微小RNA加工通路的新基因,并命名为Nibbler;Nibbler的功能进一步夯实了微小RNA在衰老进程中特异性表达、生理功能和对疾病影响“三位一体”的内源整合机制。我们下一步的研究拟在基因组水平上,以成体果蝇主要生理器官为平台,系统研究微小RNA在衰老过程中的表达,序列多样性及生物学功能,以其在分子遗传水平界定新的调控健康衰老的内源机制。同时积极探索将新的发现转化至人衰老和与人衰老相关的疾病研究中来
