从事内生真菌和菌根真菌分类学、分子系统学、生态学、生物多样性研究;建立检测自然环境中真菌多样性的分子生物学体系;开展重要真菌类群DNA条形码研究;揭示内生真菌和菌根真菌在植物生态系统演替和物质循环过程中的功能;研究内生真菌和菌根真菌对全球气候变化和外来植物入侵的响应与调节机制
