个人简介

Andrea Armani received her BA in physics from the University of Chicago (2001) and her PhD in applied physics with a minor in biology from the California Institute of Technology (2007), where she continued as the Clare Boothe Luce post-doctoral Fellow in biology and chemical engineering. She is currently the Fluor Early Career Chair of Engineering and Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science with courtesy appointments in Electrical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering in the Viterbi School of Engineering as well as Chemistry in the Dornsife College at the University of Southern California.

研究领域

The research involves three main topic areas: integrated optical devices, materials and biodetection with a complementary effort in modeling. The research is extremely inter-related, with projects typically involving at least two of the areas, if not all three. Representative projects for each area are summarized below and on the specific topic webpage. However, given the breadth of the activity and the frequency with which new projects are started, not all of the research is contained on this website.
