个人简介

教育背景 1957-1963 北京大学数学与力学系 1963-1967 中国科学院数学研究所方开泰教授是国际知名的统计学家。1992年他被选为美国数理统计学会会士，2001年被选为美国统计学会会士，1985年成为国际统计学会当选会员。方开泰教授曾在美国耶鲁大学、斯坦福大学担任两年的访问学者。他曾被邀请担任瑞士联邦理工学院的客座教授、美国北卡罗来纳大学的访问教授。1984年至1992年，方开泰教授任中国科学院应用数学研究所副所长。1993年至2006年1月，他是香港浸会大学数学系的讲座教授，并从1992年到2005年担任统计研究与咨询中心主任，从2002年至2005年担任数学系系主任。他是北京师范大学-香港浸会大学联合国际学院统计学专业首任课程主任。方开泰教授研究领域主要涉及试验设计、多元分析和数据挖掘在统计中的应用。方教授是多产作者，已出版专著、教科书24本，其中英文专著5本；发表近300篇研究论文，大部分发表在国际和国内的核心期刊；发表45篇科学普及和综合评论，10篇数学和统计文化文章。他是均匀设计创始人之一，被称为“均匀设计之父”。方教授的科研成果多次获奖。方教授与王元院士共同获得2008年国家自然科学奖二等奖（是年一等奖空缺）。2012年方教授获广东省授予“南粤优秀教师”称号，以及珠海授予“珠海先进教师”称号，2014年获国际泛华统计协会杰出成就奖。
