个人简介
Professor Kami L. Hull received her B.A. degree in chemistry from Macalester College in 2003. She obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in 2009 working with Prof. Melanie Sanford. While there she received several awards, including an ACS Division of Organic Chemistry Fellowship and the Roche Award for Excellence in Organic Chemistry. Upon graduation, she moved to California as an NIH postdoctoral fellow in Prof. Barry M. Trost’s laboratory at Stanford University from 2009–2012. She joined the faculty at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in the fall of 2012, where her research group focuses on the development of and mechanistic studies on transition metal-catalyzed reactions.

Worked towards the total synthesis of (–)-lasonolide A and developed a Pd-catalyzed
decarboxylative asymmetric allylic alkylation reaction with lactam nucleophiles.
研究领域
In the Hull group, we seek to aid the drug discovery process by developing new transition metal-catalyzed approaches to traditional bond disconnections. We aim to reduce several-step sequences into single transformations from easily accessible starting materials, to develop methodologies that allow access to a wide variety of derivatives from common synthetic intermediates, and finally, to increase atom and step economy, therefore decrease the waste generated during the synthesis thus minimizing negative impact on the environment and unnecessary waste of our limited natural resources.
