研究领域
近年来，逐渐凝练出“推动经典分类学向现代形态分类学（利用形态特征的数字化与数据挖掘方法来改造分类学）转化”这一宏大的科学目标。为实现这一目标，需要通过形态学的现代化再造（四个现代化）来实现，即数据获取的现代化、性状模拟的现代化、数据分析的现代化、物种鉴定的现代化等四个方面。
