1989年8月-1991年7月，中国科学院广州地球化学研究所有机地球化学国家重点实验室，石油天然气地质地球化学，博士后。
1991年8月-1993年4月，中国科学院广州地球化学研究所有机地球化学国家重点实验室，副研究员。
1993年5月-2001年4月，中国科学院广州地球化学研究所有机地球化学国家重点实验室，研究员。
2001年5月- 2016.3月，中国科学院广州地球化学研究所有机地球化学国家重点实验室，副主任，研究员（三级，2006年）；研究员（二级，2007年）；中国科学院特聘研究员（核心岗位）（2015年）。
2016年3月- 2018年5月：中国科学院广州地球化学研究所有机地球化学国家重点实验室，研究员（二级），中国科学院特聘研究员（核心岗位）。
2018年6月- 现在：中国地质大学（北京）能源学院，特聘教授（二级）。
