DimitriVandePerre,Ph.D.,mainlyfocusesoninvestigatingthecombinedandinteractiveeffectsofheavymetals,pesticidesandglobalwarmingonfreshwatercommunities.In2018Dr.VandePerregothisPh.DinappliedbiologicalsciencesfromGhentUniversity,Belgium.Since2014,Dr.VandePerrepublished4SCIpapers(threeofthemwerepublishedasthefirstauthor)inEnvironmentalToxicologyandChemistry.Dr.VandePerrehismostrecentpaper(VandePerreetal2018b“Thecombinedandinteractiveeffectsofzinc,temperatureandphosphorusonthestructureandfunctioningofafreshwatercommunity”)wasamongthetop10mostexceptionalpapersofEnvironmentalToxicologyandChemistryof2018.Inaddition,Dr.VandePerrepresentedhisworkonseveralinternationalconferencesandparticipatedinaninternationalprojectcalledAQUASTRESS.
