1982 年毕业于南开大学控制理论专业,获学士学位,后在浙江大学控制理论与控制工程专业获硕士和博士学位
1993 年-1995 年获瑞士联邦政府奖学金留学瑞士洛桑联邦高工
2000 年2月-8 月在香港科技大学进行合作研究
2002 年、2005 年、2006 年分别在澳大利亚科廷工业大学、美国加州大学河滨分校、英国布鲁奈尔大学进行为期 3 个月的合作研究
