1978.2-1984.7 北京大学，化学系，本科/硕士
1986.7-1989.6 德国Siegen大学，化学系，博士
1991.11-1995.6 加拿大魁北克大学，博士后
1984.7-今 天津大学化学系任教(95年副教授，98年教授，2002年博导)
主要研究成果：
确定了超临界温度吸附的单分子层吸附机理，并在此基础上建立了吸附等温线模型，很好地解释了具有极值点的等温线，并据此阐明了基于吸附的氢气、天然气储存方法的机理和限度；提出了湿活性炭储天然气方法，重量储存密度达到60％、体积密度达200V/V的储气压力比CNG降低一倍；提出热化学分解水制氢新循环，可直接得到纯氢，并具有高能量效率、低成本、高产率特性；提出以缩合反应增强吸附的燃油深度脱硫方法，与其它纳米反应结合，可使商品油总硫含量降到15ppm以下；提出以二氧化碳置换吸附甲烷的变压吸附富集煤层气甲烷方法，可使含量20％的煤层气甲烷直接富集到95％，甲烷收率在95％以上。发表论文80余篇，大部分被SCI收录。
