1968年5月出生,1998年获中国科学技术大学无机化学理学博士学位。1998年8月起分别任上海交通大学化学化工学院讲师、副教授(2000年1月)、教授(2001年8月)。2004年4月至2005年4月,德国马普固体物理研究所访问教授
