薛东,1975年10月生。博士,教授,博士生导师,现为我校化学化工学院院长,应用表面与胶体化学教育部重点实验室主任。
1997, 2000年分别在陕西师范大学获得化学学士和有机化学硕士学位,师从刘谦光教授。2000-2005年于中国科学院成都有机所获得博士学位,师从邓金根研究员。2007-2009年分别在Colorado State University和The Scripps Research Institute从事博士后研究,合作导师分别为Prof. Yian Shi,Prof. Cheng Liu & Subhash Sinha。2009年底回国, 在陕西师范大学化学化工学院工作, 2015年晋升为教授。2012.11起任化学化工学院副院长, 2016年8月任院长。

研究方向为光催化剂的设计、合成及其参与的催化反应研究,具有生理活性化合物及手性药物的合成研究
