A novel approach for magnetochromic displays with a solid magnetic photonic hydrogel is developed. The visual color display of the hydrogel is initiated by an alternating magnetic field which leads to changes in the lattice constant of the photonic crystals fixed in the hydrogel, due to the magnetothermal effect of 1D aggregates of magnetic chains and thermal responsivity of the hydrogel matrix. This is reported by Wentao Wang, Bingtao Tang and co‐workers in article number 1701093.
