We briefly summarized biphenylene‐relating chemistry in this Minireview, which includes three topics: (1) construction of biphenylene motif (2) C–C bond cleavage for the synthesis of metal complex and catalytic transformation of biphenylene (3) application of biphenylene skeleton for functional molecules.
