“All-water” synthesis of the gem-difluoromethylene azo compounds from Arenediazonium Salts and fluorinated enol silyl ethers

The fluorine-containing organic compounds are becoming privileged in medicinal chemistry. Described herein is an efficient and environmental friendly method for the synthesis of the gem-difluoromethylene azo compounds without any additives, and the hydrogen bond between water and fluorinated enol silyl ether slightly promote the reaction.
