Under the control of RMF, the vortex-like MPFSN swarms move along the blood vessel wall toward the venous thrombus, disrupting the laminar flow near the thrombus. The released urokinase plasminogen activator (UPA) is then entrained by the rotating fluid induced by the vortex-like MPFSN swarms, where it directly acts on the thrombus.
