One of the most critical places in buildings in terms of building thermal technology involves the windows where temperature often drops below the critical temperature leading to mould growth or surface condensation. Many factors play a major role here, affecting the functionality of the entire system. These factors include the nominal indoor and outdoor temperatures, outdoor and indoor relative humidity, the thermal properties of the window frames and glazing, and the type of window spacer.
