In this work, an eco-friendly and rapid dual-mode detection method for H2S based on europium oxide doped with carbon quantum dots nanocomposites (Eu2O3@CDs NPs) is proposed. An efficient electrochemiluminescence (ECL) sensor and dual emission ratio type fluorescence (FL) sensor was constructed by Eu2O3@CDs NPs, which exhibit excellent ECL and FL properties. It successfully realized the precise quantitative detection of H2S due to the influence of the sulfion (S2-) to resonance energy transfer mechanism in Eu2O3@CDs NPs and the extremely short response time greatly improves the analysis efficiency. Ultimately, a good linear relationship in the concentration range of 1 pM to 10 mM and 50 nM to 0.5 mM of H2S was acquired, respectively, and the detection limit was as low as 0.0537 pM and 4.88 nM (S/N = 3). In addition, both sensors show excellent selectivity, and stability, and provide a novel idea for establishing H2S sensors.
