The generation efficiency and lifetime of triplet state can be clearly promoted by the host-stabilized through-space conjugation, contributing to the fabrication of highly efficient photocatalytic system. The supramolecular photocatalyst exhibits excellent performance in catalytic oxidation of thioether and aromatic alcohol. It shows high catalytic performance in the photodegradation of lignin owing to the ultra-stable host–guest complexation.
