Fluoride anion (F−) with extremely high electronegativity was directly inserted in lead halide perovskite lattice by overcoming the insolubility of PbF2 via the introduced pyridinium halide as a novel volatile solubilizing ligand, which strongly suppressed ion migration and stabilized crystal-phase, leading to an advantageous device performance and operational stability.
