By utilizing the synergistic effect of racemic ligands, a novel red-light-emitting organic–inorganic metal halide with lantern-shaped hybrid structures was developed, exhibiting nearly 100 % quantum yield and unique stimulus-responsive color switching under the dual stimulation of heat and mechanical force.
