Triboelectricity is a common phenomenon in daily life, and its application in the industrial field is becoming increasingly widespread. As a dry material separation technology under no-water conditions, triboelectric separation technology has the characteristics of low cost, environmental friendliness, and especially significant advantages in water-scarce regions. With the continuous growth in global mineral resource demand, the mining industry, as the foundation industry of the national economy, has an increasingly urgent need for green and low-cost mining technologies. Triboelectric separation technology has achieved good results in mineral purification and resource recycling, attracting wide attention from researchers both domestically and internationally. This article provides a systematic review of triboelectric separation technology from the perspectives of mechanism exploration, application areas, and equipment development, offering references for future research.
