Airway clearance therapy (ACT) is integral to management of cystic fibrosis (CF) [1]. Adherence to therapy in patients with CF is generally poor for inhaled medications and ACT as they are time-consuming [2]. The reported adherence rate to ACT ranges from 33% to 91%, and the variation may be due to differences in the parameters used to assess ACT [3]. However, the "adherence rate with the correct technique" was only 37% in the REACT programme [4].
